Privacy Policy
At Veleristo SpA we treat personal information with the same seriousness with which we publish educational content. This document explains, in plain language, which data we collect, why we need it and what rights you have as a visitor in Chile and around the world.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Veleristo SpA, RUT 77.483.926-2, registered at Av. Apoquindo 4501, office 1402, Las Condes, Santiago de Chile. Any request related to personal data may be sent to privacidad@veleristo.com.
2. Data we collect
We collect only essential data: the name, email and message you provide through the contact form; technical browser information for statistical purposes; and data derived from cookies, only when you have given your prior consent.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We use the information to answer enquiries, improve educational materials and comply with legal obligations. The legal basis is Chilean Law 19.628 on Privacy Protection and, where applicable to EU residents, Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Explicit consent prevails at all times.
4. Retention periods
Messages we receive are kept for a maximum of twenty-four months from the last contact. Aggregated visit logs are anonymised and kept for up to forty-eight months for internal research.
5. Processors and third parties
We rely on top-tier technology providers for hosting, analytics and email, with active data-protection clauses. We never sell personal information under any circumstances.
6. Rights of the data subject
You may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability by writing to privacidad@veleristo.com. We answer within a maximum of fifteen calendar days, except for justified cases that require reasonable extensions.
7. Security
We apply encryption in transit (TLS), least-privilege access policies and periodic audits. If we detect an incident that affects your data, we will notify you within no more than seventy-two hours.
8. Changes to this document
This policy is reviewed at least once a year or whenever a relevant regulatory change occurs. We will publish the updated version with its effective date so you can compare differences.
